Mens Chinos

Multi-purpose chinos: trousers for all occasions

The recent heat wave has once again made us all realise just how unpredictable the British weather can be. One minute it’s blustery and windy, the next it’s blazing sunshine. And it can make choosing your summer wardrobe – let alone what to wear on a day-to-day basis – really tough. It’s especially challenging for guys who have to wear smart clothes for work. The last thing you want is to put on a thick woollen suit and sit working up a sweat as you slowly cook at your desk. But there are summer alternatives.

Lightweight and flexible

Men’s chinos are smart trousers that are also lightweight. Traditionally, they come in beige, but there are loads of other colours to choose from too. In fact, you can more or less mix and match with any of your existing outfits.

The material is lightweight and flexible, so your legs won’t start burning up like they might in thick wool. And the other major bonus is that they work for slightly less formal wear too. If you’ve finished work for the day and fancy popping out for a quick pint with your colleagues, you won’t look like you’ve come straight from work. Take off your tie and open up your collar a little and it’ll look like you’ve dressed up for a night out. Nobody has to know either way.

Affordable trousers

The other really great thing about mens chinos is the price. They’re affordable, so you can get several pairs in a few different colours. That way, you’ll have a suitable pair of trousers, whatever the occasion. They’re also great teamed with most pairs of shoes – from smart lace ups and casual loafers, to canvas trainers. They are the ultimate in multi-purpose trousers, designed to be perfectly suitable for more or less any occasion – unlike a stuffy suit.

So, if you’re struggling with the unpredictable weather, and haven’t got a clue what to wear for work or a night out, a pair of chinos is definitely the answer. Check them out online and decide which shade is best for you. Then, all you have to do is put them each day, safe in the knowledge that unlike Wallace and Gromit, you won’t ever be wearing the wrong trousers.

  1. Chinos are so versatile... you can wear them with a simple tshirt or with a shirt or a blazer. :)
